Next up on the agenda was an outdoor adventure. The kids took charge of the activity planning and decided it was time for a scavenger hunt around the yard. They made a list of items for us to find, and we were all off running like wild animals trying to beat the clock. From looking for hidden toys to racing around to find the next clue, it was a chaotic but fun-filled hour.
The funniest part? The kids kept changing the rules as we went along — like suddenly making us "hop" to the next clue or asking us to find items while balancing on one leg. We were all laughing and having a blast, and honestly, I think we might need to let them plan more of our outdoor activities in the future.
A Kids’ Talent Show – Who’s Got the Best Talent?
After our scavenger hunt, it was time for the next big activity: a family talent show! The kids were in charge of deciding the categories, and let me tell you, they didn’t hold back. We had everything from magic tricks to dance-offs, and even a "guess the funny voice" challenge that had us all cracking up.
What really amazed me was how confident the kids were. They were in charge of the whole show, introducing the acts, and cheering us on (with a few funny comments thrown in). We didn’t get to screen any of the questions, so there were definitely some funny and unexpected moments! It was honestly one of the best parts of the vlog because it gave us a chance to talk about things we don’t usually address on camera.
Closing the Day with a Family Dance Party!
And to wrap things up, the kids decided we needed a dance party to finish the takeover strong! The playlist was entirely chosen by them, and let's just say there were a LOT of dance moves that left us all out of breath. But it was so worth it. Seeing everyone — parents, kids, and even the family pets (who somehow joined in) — dancing around and having a blast was the perfect end to a crazy but amazing day.
